Binding
is a very vital affair for the library. Books need to be repaired
and bound off and on. Readers are repelled by the shabby, loose
jointed dirty books on the shelves. Similarly paper back edition
need to be bound before sent to circulation, Not only full binding ,
but books need to be repaired and these minor repairs prolong the
life of the book to a remarkable extent, In practice the absence of
binding/ repair drives the volume to an untimely death.
