Branch  Libraries

       The Central State Library is a mother organisation under which other branches in the rural and urban areas are functioning in the UT Chandigarh.                                           
           With the demographic expansion in the UT Chandigarh, comprising a sizeable proportion of the literate population, the demand for library services began to emerge in the 1970s. Consequently the Administration extended the library services of the Central State Library through a network of branch libraries in  urban  as well as far of rural  areas.
